Photography Intern

Responsibilities

  • Shooting still and video content that can be used in our newsletters, website and social media
  • Work closely with our PR team and Marketing team to provide visuals that strengthen our storytelling
  • Perform quality assurance on all images
  • Crop, retouch digital images and maintain file size specifications
  • Digitally manipulate photos by adding or removing objects from an image or inserting text

Requirements

  • 10-20 hour/w commitment for 10-12 weeks, starting ASAP
  • Required education: High school or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience using Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Bridge
  • Previous color correction, retouching and design experience
  • Proactive, motivated, dedicated, and able to take initiative


Job Type: Internship

Most of the shoots happen on the weekends so being available on at least one day of the weekend is ideal. This is an unpaid internship - college credit is available but you do not have to be a student to apply.

Video Intern

Responsibilities

  • Take and edit videos for our YouTube channel, website, lifestyle page etc.
  • Work closely with our PR team and Marketing team and to provide videos that strengthen our storytelling
  • Tweak and refine the edit as preferences and feedback are given.

Requirements

  • 10-20 hour/w commitment for 10-12 weeks, starting ASAP
  • Required education: High school or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in video editing
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.

Business Development Intern

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential partnership opportunities, maintain a sound relationship with existing business partners
  • Conduct brand research for client prospects and assist with general strategy formulation
  • Make calls, write emails and LinkedIn messages to business leads and qualified companies to assist with completing sales goals
  • Attend networking events and industry conferences to build meaningful relationships

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media Communications or a related field
  • Excellent listening, diagnostic and consultative assessment skills
  • Passionate about the fashion industry and business development
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to wear multiple hats
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Sales Intern

Responsibilities

  • Assist with our sales team and learn important steps of the sales cycle
  • Learn sales strategies including service sales and advertising sales
  • Attend various sales events such as MEZLAN Trunk sales event, fashion week, etc.
  • Cold call prospective clients, learn essential follow-up skills
  • Communicate with the marketing department to produce great sales collaterals
  • Additional Ad Hoc projects as assigned


Requirements

  • High school graduate or higher education
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Timely completion of reports/planning deadlines
  • High level of comfort networking with clients
  • Result-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a desire to learn the trade
  • Positive outlook in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and a self-starter
  • 3 days a week and at least 3 months

Marketing Intern

Responsibilities

  • Design marketing content that meets the branding objectives for The Tailory New York’s internal departments which includes email announcements, social media, promotions, etc.
  • Perform research; analyze and report on past promotions, events and brand activities to determine effectiveness of initiatives
  • Research and prepare materials reflecting industry insights, including: biweekly industry reports, brand activations and innovations
  • Analyze customer research and conduct competitive analyses in order to incorporate knowledge gained into optimizing The Tailory New York’s marketing strategy
  • Execute email campaigns and report analysis of weekly/monthly campaigns. Identify next steps that will grow and optimize each email campaign
  • Update, maintain and engage with the audiences of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about fashion and marketing industries
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to wear multiple hats
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office
  • Prior internships in Marketing/Social Media/PR/Communications or related experience is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work 3 days a week
