The Art of Standing Out Reading Your Old Suit Has a Second Use. We'd Like to Help It Find One. 3 minutes

There's a suit in your closet right now. Maybe it's the one you bought in a rush for your cousin's wedding. Maybe it's a well-intentioned purchase that never quite fit the way you hoped. Maybe it belonged to a different version of you. Same name, different shoulders.

We see it all the time. Suits doing nothing. Not because they're bad suits, but because they were never quite right. And here's what struck us: those suits still have weight to them. Literally, and otherwise. A well-made blazer, even one that never fully worked for you, is exactly the kind of garment that can change how someone walks into a room.

The Suit Trade-In Program is our commitment to keeping quality pieces in circulation, and making sure they land with people who can actually use them.Stylish men's suit male suits hanging in a row men clothing boutiques man suit tailor in his workshop | Premium Photo

What the program is about

The fashion industry has a waste problem. Perfectly good garments get discarded every day, not because they wore out, but because they stopped fitting the person who owned them, or the moment they were bought for passed. A well-made suit doesn't lose its value when it stops working for you. It just stops being used. We started the Suit Trade-In Program because we believe those pieces deserve better, and because there are people out there who could genuinely use them - someone preparing for their first job interview, rebuilding after a setback, or just trying to show up to an opportunity looking the part. This program is our attempt to make sure those two things find each other.

"A suit that once helped you walk into a room with confidence can do the exact same thing for someone else."

How it works

  1. Bring what you have. Full suits, blazers, tuxedos of all brands and sizes. If it once helped you, it can help someone else.
  2. We pass it forward. Your piece goes directly to professionals preparing for interviews and fresh starts through Dress for Success and Career Gear.
  3. You get 20% off. Applied to your next custom suit with no expiration date or pressure. Use it whenever you're ready.

On the organizations we work with

The connection between what we do and what these organizations do makes sense to us. We make things that fit. They find people who need exactly that. This program is how we close that loop.

Dress for Success and Career Gear are both organizations actively working with individuals to match them with the right piece for the right moment, often a job interview that could change their trajectory. When your suit goes there, it doesn't sit on a rack. It goes to a person.

We accept all brands, all sizes. The people receiving these suits come in every shape and size, and our partner organizations work carefully to make sure each piece finds the right match. No label gets turned away.

If you've got something worth passing on, bring it in. We'll take it from there.
